Mouna guru is a pleasant surprise. The movie starts in a normal pace, But when as time goes on, it turns into a hurricane, giving the audience a great experience.
Mouna guru is directed by director Shantakumar. He is debuting in the movie. After watching the movie you will that, the tamil industry has got another talented director. The speciality of the movie is that each scene is unpredictable.

Mouna guru Is  a story about a lad named ‘Karunakaran’ (Arulnidhi). He seems like a serious guy who is different from the ordinary youth and he concentrates only on his studies. He is kind and brave. But fate starts playing games with his life. He goes to a public phone and calls his brother, but the gets stuck. He asks the shop owner for his Rs.2, but the owner refuses. So he tries to strike the phone, but it breaks open and all the coins scatter down. “I ll just take my two rupees’ he says.The shop keeper thinks he does it on purpose. From there the movie turns into a whirlpool.

Later being a proficiency student, he finds himself in the wrong time and in the wrong place. Because of a series of incidents, he moves to Chennai to his brother’s place. As soon as he goes there, he finds that he is un invited, his sister-in-law sulks every time she sees her. Understanding this Karunakaran thinks of moving out. And then there is Aarthi (Iniya) his sister- in-law’s sister.The only being who is compassionate to Arulnidhi. She is a medical student and she shows sympathy to him.
In the Meanwhile, Different scenes take place around the city. A police Chase scene, and a pregnant police officer (Uma Riyaz Khan) transferred from Madurai to Chennai who is also into a serious investigation.
As an Actor, Arulnidhi is more matured and composed. Comparing his older films he is putting himself very well in front of the camera. Everyone whether the role is big or small, has acted very well, Uma Riyaz needs a special appreciation, for her outstanding performance in the movie.

Santhakumar has proven himself as a unique director. It is sometimes very hard to recognize that this is his first movie. Hats off to the director.
Verdict- Surprisingly Good.
